Quick-tempered in Malayalam

A quick tempered person is മുന്‍കോപി (munkopi), literally one whose anger comes first, from the words for front and anger. The n in the middle assimilates to the following stop, so the two halves run together when spoken. It is the usual label for someone who flares up and cools down fast.

Most common translation

മുന്‍കോപി (munkopi)

Quick-tempered person.

എന്റെ അച്ഛൻ ഒരു മുന്‍കോപി ആണ്.

ente achan oru munkopi aanu.

My father is a quick-tempered man.

Dictionary entry

The word munkopi names the person; there is no separate adjective, so Malayalam says someone is a munkopi rather than that they are quick tempered.
