About this dictionary

Malayalam English Dictionary is a free online Malayalam–English dictionary with 7,220 Malayalam words. Every entry includes the word in Malayalam script, an easy Latin transliteration (Manglish) and its English meanings.

Malayalam (മലയാളം) is a Dravidian language spoken by about 38 million people, mainly in the Indian state of Kerala and in Lakshadweep and Puducherry, as well as by large diaspora communities in the Gulf countries, the United States and Europe. It is one of the 22 scheduled languages of India and was designated a Classical Language of India in 2013.

You can use the dictionary in three ways:

• Search — type a word in Malayalam script, in English, or in Manglish transliteration (for example kashanam).
